Choosing sunscreen for your baby isn’t just about SPF it’s about trust. Unfortunately, many conventional sunscreens marketed to children still contain ingredients that raise serious health and environmental concerns.
What to Avoid in Baby Sunscreen:
🚫 Chemical UV filters (like oxybenzone, octinoxate, avobenzone) — linked to hormone disruption🚫 Fragrance — often made with undisclosed chemicals that can irritate sensitive skin
🚫 Preservatives like parabens or phenoxyethanol — not ideal for developing immune systems
What to Look For:
✅ Mineral-based formulas using non-nano zinc oxide
✅ Certified organic ingredients
✅ Hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, and dermatologically tested
✅ Tested safe for babies over 6 months (always ask a GP for under 6 months)
Why It Matters:
A baby’s skin is thinner and more permeable — which means chemicals absorb more easily. And when that product ends up in the ocean, it continues to harm delicate ecosystems.
When it comes to your baby’s skin, don’t settle. Choose a sunscreen that’s as pure as their giggle.
